The Russian invasion of and ongoing aggression against Ukraine created a fatal threat for civilians, including academics. In solidarity with Ukrainian academia, Ilia State University (ISU) established the program in support of academics at risk. The program intends to support Ukrainian scholars who are under the threat by providing a safe environment for them and their family members. The ongoing war demonstrated the significance of having the expertise on Ukraine (language, politics, culture) on the one hand and unfolded the scarcity of relevant academic resources, on the other hand. We believe that Ukrainian Academics at Risk Program will contribute to the development of Ukrainian Studies in Georgia as well.

The team of the National Erasmus+ Office — Ukraine supports the letter from Serhiy Shkarlet, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine and invite all partners to disseminate it widely!
