On 16 July 2025, the team of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine joined the opening of the Mechaton held within the Erasmus+ project “Universities-Communities: Strengthening Cooperation/UNICOM”, which took place in a hybrid format.

During the welcome session, Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, addressed the participants. She emphasised the importance of university-community collaboration, the active involvement of young people in addressing local challenges, and the promotion of innovation and cross-sectoral cooperation through the EU’s Erasmus+ Programme.

The event brought together around 55 participants – representatives of the project’s partner universities, public authorities, business, mentors, student teams, and experts in engineering, IT, and project management – to develop solutions to community-relevant technical challenges.

The Mechaton was organised by Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics with technical support within the Erasmus+ UNICOM project aimed at strengthening university-community partnerships for local development.
