On 23 November 2023 the International Contact Webinar: Supporting Ukraine in VET was organized.

Organisers of the event: National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine in cooperation with the Directorates General of European Commission, European Education and Culture Executive Agency, National Erasmus+ Agencies, Ministry of the Education and Science of Ukraine invites VET providers from the Erasmus+ Programme Countries.

Considering the war in Ukraine and specific measures provided by the European Commission to Ukraine, the main aim of the Contact Webinar is to help Ukrainian VETIs to match the EU VET providers and find opportunities for cooperation. The webinar includes a general session on CBVET opportunities and four sessions by the VET areas with presentations of the project ideas by Ukrainian VET institutions and Cooperation Opportunities presentations by the EU VET providers.

Among 80 partcipants from Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Finland, Greece, India, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and Ukraine (Kyiv and 16 regions) joined the webinar.

Georgiana PLESU, Policy Officer, DGEAC (DIRECTORATE-GENERAL for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture); Iryna SHUMIK, Director General, VET Directorate, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator, National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine addressed the participants with a welcome speeches.

Pavol KREMPASKY, EACEA highlighted Tips&Hints for cooperation under CBVET Action.

The event included sessions where VET institutions from Ukraine (Nemishayeve Vocational College, Lviv Interregional Higher Vocational School of Railway Transport, Vinnytsia Higher Vocational School of the Service, Berdychiv Higher Vocational School, Lviv Higher Vocational School of Computer Technologies and Construction, Dnipro Vocational School #2, Zhytomyr Higher Vocational Technological School, Izyum regional center of vocational education, Zhytomyr Medical Institute, Podilskyi Center of VET, Khmelnytskyi Center of VET in the Services, Bila Tserkva Higher Vocational School of Construction and Service) and the EU presented project ideas and collaboration opportunities
