The main goal of the event is to help Ukrainian organizations find EU partners for active cooperation and implementation of Erasmus+ projects within the framework of new competitions. The webinar consisted of a general opportunity session, thematic working groups and an introduction session to establish contacts and new connections for further joint projects in the field of sports.
More than 115 representatives of public and state organizations, associations and federations, institutions of higher education and other organizations working in the field of sports from 20 countries of the world took part in the event.
During the first plenary session, Andrii CHESNOKOV, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine for European Integration, addressed the participants with a welcome speech, presenting the national policy and current needs in the field of sports at the national level. George HEUSLER, Director of the General Directorate for Education, Youth, Sports and Culture (DG EAC) of the European Commission, expressed his support and emphasized the importance of the participation of Ukrainian organizations in joint projects with European partners. Flor Van HOYDT, Head of the Sports Department of DG EAC, highlighted the European Union's priorities in the field of sports through the implementation of Erasmus+ projects. Yves Le LOSTEK, Head of the Erasmus Mundus and Sports Department of the EACEA, presented the opportunities for cooperation and the specifics of the participation of Ukrainian partners within Erasmus+ projects in the field of sports. The planning session was moderated by Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine.
The second plenary session was devoted to practical aspects of writing successful applications in partnership with Ukrainian organizations within Erasmus+ in the field of sports.
Speakers of the session Vincenzina VINCI and Izabela PELCHINSKA, EACEA presented such key aspects as registration of the organization on the FTOP portal, search for partners and ideas, internal communication, the first steps after the victory, as well as the issues of the specifics of the participation of the organization from the partner country, in particular from Ukraine. The session was moderated by Luciano Di FONZO, Deputy Head of the EACEA Erasmus Mundus and Sports Department.
After the presentations, the participants of the event joined Speed Networking in order to build new connections and cooperation within future joint initiatives and projects.
At the end of the event, participants were addressed by Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office — Ukraine, and Natalya RADCHUK, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and European Integration of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine. They talked about the peculiarities of cooperation with organizations from Ukraine during martial law and the importance of synergy with other initiatives, in particular youth mobility.
The participants of the webinar shared their impressions and expressed their hope for close cooperation and the opening of new opportunities to support Ukraine in the field of sports.
