On May 20, 2021, the team of the National Erasmus+ Office took part in the online seminar "New opportunities for student union committees". The event was organized by the Trade Union of Education and Science of Ukraine jointly with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Youth Center. More than 80 heads of student primary trade unions joined the event on the Zoom platform.

During the event, the participants were welcomed by Heorhiy TRUKHANOV, Chairman of the Trade Union of Education and Science of Ukraine, and Maryna POPATENKO, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine. The speakers focused on the challenges and new opportunities for young people, as well as presented the priorities of youth policy in Ukraine and practical tools to achieve them.

The issue of youth infrastructure development in Ukraine was covered by Yevhen BONDARENKO, Director of the All-Ukrainian Youth Center, who further demonstrated fundraising cases for youth organizations to implement successful projects.

Kateryna Zhdanova, Manager of the National Erasmus+ Office — Ukraine, spoke about the possibilities of the new EU Erasmus+ Programme for 2021-2027 for youth and youth organizations. The speaker presented key directions and steps, as well as clear recommendations for individual and organizational participation for Ukrainian youth. Additionally, step-by-step instructions were provided on the first steps and finding the necessary information through the NEO platform in Ukraine for successful participation in future competitions of the Programme.

At the end of the event, participants had the opportunity to participate in the final discussion, share experiences and plan joint projects for the development of youth organizations.
