"ERASMUS+ DAYS" (April 5, 21, online)

The team of the National Erasmus+ Office — Ukraine (EU Project) together with Erasmus Student Network Kyiv on April 5, 2021 held "ERASMUS+ DAYS for the youth of Ukraine: Zoom edition - KYIV" on training and practice opportunities, teaching and internships at leading European universities, youth exchanges and volunteering under the European Union's Erasmus+ Program.

The event was supported by the EU Delegation to Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Eurodesk Ukraine, Erasmus+ Youth Information Center and the European Solidarity Corps, higher education institutions of Kyiv, Erasmus+ exchange students and alumni. Erasmus Mundus.

More than 170 representatives of students and youth, teachers and administrative staff of higher education institutions took part in the event through Zoom, and more than 3,100 viewers from all over Ukraine watched the Facebook broadcast.

The participants were welcomed by Andriy VITRENKO, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, and Maryna POPATENKO, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine. participation in the Erasmus+ Program.

Ivanna ATAMANCHUK, NEO Manager — Ukraine (EU project), gave a presentation on the new Erasmus+ Program for 2021-2027, as well as on the opportunities for the share of Ukrainian free economic zones and other organizations. The Speaker focused on the features and new principles of the Program: the international dimension, inclusiveness, digitalization and ecology. Ms. Ivanna presented the participants with key documents for further successful participation of representatives of Ukrainian organizations in the next competitions of the new Erasmus+ Program.

Vladyslav TAYANOVSKY, Erasmus Student Network Kyiv Educational Project Manager, presented ESN and student opportunities. The speaker focused on volunteering within the ESN and the possibility of creating such a center in higher education institutions of Ukraine. Natalia SHEVCHUK, National Coordinator, Eurodesk Ukraine, in her presentation spoke about the purpose of the organization and the potential of young people. Participants learned about Eurodesk promo channels to raise awareness of existing international opportunities and encourage them to be active participants in the country's life. The next to join the event was Kateryna Zhdanova, Manager of the National Erasmus+ Office — Ukraine (EU project) with a presentation on individual educational opportunities within Erasmus+: exchanges for students for training and practice; exchanges for internships, teaching and advanced training for freelancers; full course of Erasmus Mundus master's degree for fourth-year students and graduates without age restrictions. Ms. Kateryna provided advice on finding opportunities and further steps for successful participation. Galina MASLAK, who is currently studying in the United Kingdom, joined the event to present her experience of studying at Erasmus Mundus. The speaker told about her history of participation in the competition, the special nature of training during the pandemic and provided advice and recommendations on how to become an Erasmus Mundus Fellow. Anna KOVBASYUK, coordinator of the Info Center for Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps in Ukraine, spoke about similar individual opportunities, but in the field of youth. The speaker presented youth exchanges and volunteering, providing advice on finding opportunities and participating in competitions. Ms. Anna spoke in detail about the various opportunities, their features, purpose and duration of stay, giving vivid examples.

The event consisted of two parts: presentations of speakers and communication in breakout rooms at Zoom, so all participants were able to learn about youth exchanges, volunteering and training in the joint Erasmus Mundus master's program, as well as chat with partners from international cooperation and student participants. of Erasmus+ mobility from the leading universities of Kyiv: Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, Kyiv University named after Boris National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy", National Aviation University, National Music Academy of Ukraine named after P.I. Tchaikovsky.
