The events were aimed at all participants of the Program, presenting open opportunities for students and graduates, young people aged 13 to 30 and parents, employees of universities and youth organizations, educational and research institutions, public, private and public organizations. The #ErasmusDays 2020 events covered participants from almost all over Ukraine, who were able to learn about the opportunities, experience and success stories of the participants of the EU Erasmus+ Program and, as a result, be inspired by their own achievements and victories!
About 90 events were organized by creative teams of higher education institutions, youth organizations and project teams in the field of education, youth and sports.
The National Erasmus+ Office — Ukraine together with the Erasmus Student Network - Kyiv (ESN-Kyiv) joined the initiative and held a 3-day Ukrainian Erasmus+ Marathon. The event was supported by the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EASEA) of the European Commission, the French Embassy in Ukraine, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Erasmus+ National Agency in Italy, the Erasmus+ Youth Information Center and the European Solidarity Corps in Ukraine, EURODESK-Ukraine, eTwinning Plus in Ukraine, as well as with the active participation of Ukrainian universities, youth and other organizations.
During the Ukrainian Erasmus+ Marathon, participants learned about #ErasmusDays events throughout Ukraine, took an active part in the quiz for the best Erasmus+ photos, and joined the 6-hour marathon with opportunities and success stories in the Erasmus+ Program.
The Ukrainian Erasmus+ Marathon began with a video of greetings from distinguished guests: Andriy VITRENKO, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine; Maryna POPATENKO, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine; Belen ENCISO, Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture (EASEA); Alix de GASSAR, Attaché for Scientific and University Cooperation of the French Embassy in Ukraine; Sarah PALIAI, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Agency in Italy (INDIRE); Anna KOVBASYUK, Coordinator of the ERASMUS+ Youth Information Center and the European Solidarity Corps in Ukraine; and Valentina VELICHENKO, eTwinning Plus Support Coordinator in Ukraine.
Svitlana SHITIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office — Ukraine and the National Higher Education Reform Expert, EU Erasmus+ Programme (EU project) presented the opportunities of the EU Erasmus+ Program in education, professional development, youth and sports, and spoke about the results and impact of the Program on the whole Ukraine. Ksenia MILENKA, a graduate of Kharkiv National University named after VN Karazin, will talk about his experience of academic exchanges, having spent a year on exchange at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Oksana KRAYEVSKA, Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator, Erasmus Mundus and Tempus Project Coordinator (2007-2014), Associate Professor of the Department of Country Studies and International Tourism, Faculty of International Relations, Lviv National University. I. Franko, participated in Erasmus+ exchanges for university staff and presented her own experience of professional development, exchange of experience with European colleagues and teaching at a prestigious European university.
Lyubov SOBOLEVSKA, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences and Head of the Department of Academic Mobility of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and Olena KURCHENKO, Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Program of the International Cooperation Department of the Kyiv National University spoke about the announcement of competitions for academic exchanges and the selection process. As representatives of the Academic Mobility Division, they also presented the Erasmus+ mobility organization during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Danylo BERKOVSKY, a student of Gymnasium №1 in Sumy, took part in an exchange for young people aged 13 to 30 and told about traveling without parents when you were under 18, about fears and about the incredible experience that can be gained during youth exchange.
Anna KOVBASYUK, Coordinator of the ERASMUS+ Youth Information Center and the European Solidarity Corps in Ukraine presented the details of the competition announcement and selection of candidates for short-term youth exchanges and volunteering in Europe, as well as cooperation with other youth NGOs in Ukraine.
Oleksandr IVANOV and Kateryna KRAYNYAK shared their experience of studying for a master's degree under Erasmus Mundus at prestigious universities in Europe and the world.
Yulia PEREGUDA, Director of the International Research and Education Center of Poltava University of Economics and Trade, and Inna PAKHOMOVA, Director of the PUET Institute for Projects and Innovations, prepared information for you about the Erasmus+ project on developing the AESOP higher education potential of student rights ombudsman. During the interview, participants learned not only about the experience of working with European partners and setting up an ombudsman's office, but also about how other organizations can benefit from the results and achievements of such Erasmus+ projects.
Iryna SIKORSKA, Head of the International Relations Department of Donetsk State University of Management, member of the National Higher Education Reform Expert, EU Erasmus+ Programme (HERE team), Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Teachers and Researchers of European Integration, spoke about Jean Monnet's opportunities and main projects.
At the end of the Ukrainian Erasmus+ Marathon, participants were able to join an online concert led by Maestro Elio ORCHUOLO, head of the Erasmus+ Orchestra with the participation of students of Erasmus+ exchanges of the National Music Academy of Ukraine named after P.I. Tchaikovsky and students of the Nino Rota Conservatory in Monopoly (Italy).
