International Erasmus+ Mobility Day (05.11.2019, Kyiv)

On 5 November 2019 the International Erasmus+ Mobility Day was held in Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

International Erasmus+ Week in Ukraine was organized jointly by National Erasmus+ office – Ukraine together with: Ministry of Education and Sciences of Ukraine; Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of Ukraine; the EU Delegation to Ukraine; Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA); Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Co-organizers: Erasmus+ Agencies from Programme Countries, National Erasmus+ Offices from Partner Countries, Programme and Partner Countries Universities.

About 250 participants from Berdyansk, Cherkasy, Chernihiv Chernivtsi, Dnipro, Hlukhiv, Izmail, Kamyanets-Podilskyi, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytsky, Kremenchuk, Kryvyi Rih, Kyiv, Lutsk, Lviv, Mariupol, Mykolayiv, Nizhyn, Odesa, Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky, Rivne, Uman, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhia, Zhytomyr attended the event.

Opening speeches were made by Liubov SHCHITKA, Acting Head, Department of International Cooperation and European Integration, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and Volodymyr BUGROV Pro-Rector on Science & Educational work, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Key opportunities for cooperation between Programme Countries and Ukrainian Universities: issues on how to prepare ICM project proposals, contractual documents for ICM implementation were highlighted by Ivanna ATAMANCHUK, NEO – Ukraine.

Current status, future perspectives and recommendations for effective implementation within International Credit Mobility between Ukrainian and Programme Country HEIs were presented by Audronė BAGDONIENĖ, National Erasmus+ Agency in Lithuania, Katarzyna ŻOCHOWSKA, National Erasmus+ Agency in Poland and Markus SYMMANK, National Erasmus+ Agency “Higher Education” in Germany, DAAD.

Speeches of EU and UA HEIs representatives were related to practical guidelines and tips on ICM implementation, mobility outcomes recognition practices and mobility culture rooting:

• ICM cooperation experience with Ukraine: the Sumy State University case. Jan KRMELA, Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín, Slovakia

• Erasmus+ Credit Mobility Results Recognition: procedures and approaches. Lyubov SOBOLYEVSKA, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine
• Mobility Windows as a key element in academic mobility culture rooting. Halyna PROTSYK, Ukrainian Catholic University, Ukraine

Within the last session of the event participants join to parallel work in three groups and discussions on implementation and management of International Credit Mobility Projects:

• Before Mobility issues: signing Inter-Institutional Agreements, selection and nomination, preparation of Learning and/or Traineeship Agreements, Staff Mobility for Teaching Mobility Agreements, Staff Mobility for Training Mobility Agreements, course catalogues, course selection etc.
• During Mobility issues: contractual documents during mobility: changes and procedures, logistics for incoming ICM participants (visa, travel, health insurance, accommodation other), buddy system, registration for course, course change, traineeship placements, financial payments etc.
• After Mobility issues: transcripts of records, participants reporting, mobility results recognition for students and staff, ICM project reporting etc.
